Last Thursday, the NFL Player Engagement Department in collaboration with the All Pro Dads organization held a football clinic for youth from the San Francisco Bay Area.
More than 100 boys and girls and their parents attended the event and participated in 4 clinic stations designed to promote physical activity and foster relationship building among family members.
NFL Players DeAngelo Williams (Steelers), Justin Forsett (Ravens), Benjamin Watson (Saints) and Torrey Smith (49ers) captained each of the four stations where after each physical activity, parents where encouraged to create football memories with their kids by giving affirmations to one another, writing notes with positive words of encouragement.
At one point during the clinic, DeAngelo Williams, could be heard rallying parents to put down their cell phones and be present in the moment by going through the exercises with their kids.
