Cynthia Bennett

Cynthia L Bennett, MSN, CNP, ATC is a Certified Nurse Practitioner and Athletic Trainer at Akron Children's Hospital in Ohio.  She had been at Akron Children's for 35 years and a Nurse Practitioner in the Sports Medicine Center for 20 years.  She recently was recruited to the Neurodevelopmental Science Center to coordinate the Concussion and Traumatic Brain Injury Program.  She has evaluated and managed hundreds of sports related concussions in young athletes.  She has a special interest in early recognition of concussion and providing the optimal care at home and in the hospital setting.
