The Jefferson Awards Foundation elevates, celebrates and activates service in communities around the country. They prepare tomorrow’s leaders through youth programming and train youth to THINK BIG to make an impact. Like NFLPE, JAF recognizes the transformative effect of giving back and getting involved can have for student athletes. They provide tools for leaders in service and in life.
Attention Student Athletes: The 2015 LEAD360 Challenge is ready for your BIG IDEA. Jefferson Awards Foundation is seeking the most innovative BIG IDEAS of young people ages 5-25 to change the face of three chosen areas of care: Hunger & Poverty, Education & Literacy & Health & Wellness. This will run through the month of January 2015.
They will gather as many submissions as possible, so please submit your BIG IDEAS as well as any service projects you are already activating here! Once idea submissions close, JAF will conduct regional and national voting to determine the top 5 finalists in each of the 3 areas of care (15 total finalists!) and conduct an online voting contest via web and social channels.
The online voting will determine which three visionary ideas will be supported by JAF and powered by the country to create meaningful impact throughout 2015. In partnership with NFLPE, JAF will galvanize student athletes, sports teams, schools, organizations, and communities to participate in the three winning projects. Over the course of an entire year, they will track the collective impact of these projects all over the country. Those who do the most will become Jefferson Award winners.
LEAD360 gives student athletes the opportunity to make a big difference in their communities – and compete with other athletes and teams to see who can make the most impact.
