NFL Player Engagement
The NFL Ambassadors are former NFL players who are committed in the development of high school, college, and professional (current and former) athletes. They are directly involved in the NFL Prep, Life, and Next platforms, facilitating life skills and professional development seminars.
NFL Ambassadors will serve as Transition Coaches to current and former NFL players. They will serve as peer counselors, where one-on-one guidance is needed, in the following areas (but not limited to): Family, Crisis, Transition, Career, Depression, and Finance. Each of the Transitional Coaches will be certified in the areas of mental and behavioral health.
The most recent NFL Ambassador Training took place on August 22nd and 23rd, 2012 at the league office. The focus of the training was to learn core facilitation competencies.
