Kinnelon resident and Super Bowl champion Roman Oben has had a successful career both on and off the field, and on Monday Oct. 14, he spoke at Kinnelon High School about what it takes to succeed in life.

Oben's National Football League career spanned 12 years with four different teams. An offensive tackle, he was drafted by the New York Giants in 1996 and won the Super Bowl in 2002 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He also played for the Cleveland Browns and the San Diego chargers. Oben parlayed his professional football experience and multiple degrees into a sports media career where he currently co-hosts a Giants talk show on the MSG channel and appears on other sports shows as well. He received a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Louisville in 1995 and then his master's in public administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 2001.
